2024-2025 OPPORTUNITIES CALENDAR

SHOW AND TELL: the Alexa Rose Residency at The Common Well 

[Now closed—Applications were accepted through April 1, 2024.] 

New residency opportunity for artists whose practice includes but is not limited to painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, photography, creative writing, filmmaking and new forms. Transformative experience includes a culminating Exhibition and Reception, as well as an Artist Talk or Workshop hosted by The Common Well. Residents access workspace 24/7 for focused artmaking and receive customized professional mentorship, artistic critique, and coaching on business strategy and next steps to sustain their artistic career. Residents are provided a cash honorarium as they join a multi-disciplinary cohort for a 6-Month Residency May - October 2024 or November 2025 - April 2025 for an immersive experience where artists bring the full measure of their creative energy. Update: 24 artists were accepted for 2024-2025

Mural School SUMMER 2024  July 13th - 26th

Applications open May 17th! In partnership with The Common Well. Follow us on Instagram to learn more about a 2-week opportunity coming this Summer for the "mural-curious"—among experienced artists—to go large like never before. Includes tuition, all meals and stipend. Murals unveiling and outdoor bash on September 14, 2025.

2025 Alexa Rose Fellowship, SUMMER 2024 - Opens July a highly competitive Artistic Merit Award of $25,000 for established artists. One-year Fellowship begins in January 2025. 

December 1st, 2024 - January 10th, 2025

Light of Day, a Creative Development Award of $10,000 for artistic projects completed and brought to a national audience by February 2027. Selections announced in February.
 

Original Alexa Rose Grant Cycle: UNVEILING 2025

Reflecting on 10 years of impact, our original Artist Grants program [$500-$5000] is under review while program data and feedback are compiled to best serve artists across the Valley. If you possess first-hand knowledge and insights regarding this well-loved program, please share your Feedback.
