Take up Residence for five months with a dynamic cohort of artistic peers in an inspired workspace. The Alexa Rose Foundation SHOW AND TELL Residency features a culminating Group Exhibition and Reception, as well as your Artist Talk or Workshop, all hosted by The Common Well, a bold partner in our thriving arts ecosystem.
Does your artistic practice include painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, photography, performance, fiber arts or new forms? Don't miss this well-crafted opportunity to go deep with respected peers poised to elevate your work and build community. In addition to a cash stipend of $3500-$5000, the Residency features:

Be prepared to bring the full measure of your creative energy and be *all-in* for this immersive experience. The cohort meets weekly, alternating Wednesday mornings at 8am (Zero Hour) and Thursday afternoons at 4pm (Happy Hour).
Live your best life, emerge as a role model for other artists, and build professional relationships that will last for years. Applications are due Monday, June 30th at 12 Midnight.​​
ELIGIBILITY
APPLICATION PROMPTS

Current full-time Resident of Ada or Canyon County, Indigenous Boise Valley tribal member who may reside elsewhere, or non-resident with local lodging and a special tie to Idaho.

Designed for candidates working in painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, photography, fiber arts and new forms.

Candidates must have no degree program assignments or school obligations pending after September 30, 2025..

Past Alexa Rose Foundation funding does not impact eligibility. Past recipients wishing to apply must be in good standing and observe a minimum 12-month waiting period from documentation of past funded work.

Located in an old factory at 110 W. 31st Street two miles from Downtown Boise, The Common Well is an inspired hub for artists and entrepreneurs to share space, collaborate, network and play. It offers a vibrant contemporary art gallery, artist studios, pottery studio, outdoor stage, and classroom space for engaging with the public and other artists. The Common Well is equipped with work tables, comfortable common areas, meeting rooms, high speed internet and a kitchen.
