2023 GRANTEES

We thank every artist who applied!  This year's art grants honor a talented and diverse cohort of 50 artists from all disciplines and experience levels. In total, $144,000 in awards was allocated to support their creative development. We thank every artist who applied! The selection process involved a comprehensive panel consisting of fifty subject experts, peers, and art enthusiasts from our community. Grants of up to $5000 have been awarded to individuals in the Treasure Valley, providing them with valuable resources to further their artistic pursuits.

Alexa Rose is committed to empowering artists of all backgrounds and helping them reach their fullest artistic potential, thereby enriching the Valley for us all.

Alexa Rose Howell

Alexa Rose Howell, a native New Yorker, lived with her husband in Boise, Idaho USA for 40 years, until her death in 2013. 

 

Since 2015, Alexa’s Foundation, initiated by her husband Ken Howell in her honor and memory, is proud to support artists through annual grants, fellowships, and public artwork installations throughout Idaho's Treasure Valley.
